Question about the LG ALLY

Can I use the memory card for my apps instead of using the internal memory? Or can I add more internal memory?

Best Android Browser?

Hey guys, I am Warrikk. I currently own a Motorola Quench on Rogers. It is running 1.5. My question is what, so far, is the best browser app for Android. I've used Opera Mini 5, I've used Dolphin 2.XX for a while. I want to know what everyone else is using and why they are using that one.

Any Android phones with "one handed" keyboard?

Used the Phone Finder and haven't been able to find one, but want to make sure:

Are there any Android phones that have a keyboard you can use with 1 hand, like Treos and Blackberries do?

One of the things I really miss about my PalmOS Treo was the ability to type on it one handed. The phone I use now (a Windows mobile 6.1 one) has a slide out keyboard that I thought I'd like better, but so often I want to type with just one hand that I really like the Treo style better.

Froyo Update

Since I updated my pic doesn't show up in my messaging threads anymore. Do I really need to add myself as a contact to get this feature back?

Nuissance Begone

Guys,
Now I don’t know about the rest of you, but I was dating this chick for a couple of weeks and then called it quits - she was weird, even more so now. Crazy ex now won’t stop calling me; constantly texting me asking why I won’t receive her calls, why I was being such a douche. I didn’t think much about this NetQin virus product until I found the blacklist function on NetQin’s Mobile Manager. Chucked her number on there – now no more stupid phone calls and texts!
I swear guys, this programme is the mantis! If you haven’t got it, you should – it’s ACE!

My useful ones:
Pandora - internet streaming radio (shortcut, and widget, i use the widget)
MP3 download - download music for free
Cubed Music Player - shows up in the app market as the number 3 when you search, puts all my music with album art its great!
Car Collection background - great cars and pics, using the cadillac cien right now
advanced task killer - useful, but does hang up every once in a while
retro clock - widget to give you a digital clock, also includes retro date widget that I don't use
accuweather - came on the phones home screen
Chuck Norris facts - or I'll roundhouse kick you to the fac...

Dolphin 3.0

I just saw the update to the Dolphin browser in the Android Market. So far the UI appears to have improved by leaps and bounds - haven't had much more time to test. Anyone having good or bad experiences with it?

The secrets of Android!

As you all know, Androids are cool and they are a little hard to understand. So this is a tutorial to training and taming your Android. I got an Android that looks a lot like C3PO off of Star Wars.

You need to speak the language of the Androids to them. Repeat as follows: beep beep boop dee bee bee boop

This will get their attention, the rough translation is "your mom was a nasty old washing machine that had no friends and when cloths went into that machine they came out more filthy when they went in, we might be able to find your mom in a junk yard but who would want that old rusty bag"

Your Android will be most upset by this so be sure to repeat the following as fast as you can: beep beep beep beep boop whistle beep dee dee beep

Going to throw this droid through the wall, help.

So I bought the Motorola Droid for my girl a few months ago and she's been somewhat happy, but I always wondered why she complained so much about the camera and gallery.

I don't wonder any more.

I need someone to help me fix the stupid bug in the gallery App that forces you to delete a photo and "trick" the gallery into refreshing before showing you pictures you JUST TOOK.

It's driving me absolutely insane. The camera takes brilliant photos (if you can keep the subject being photographed still long enough for the shutter to snap) but this one little issue irks me to no end.

Help. Please.

Questions about android

So I was thinking of switching to an android phone from my wm phone and I just want to make sure it can do everything I need. So my questions are: I dont have broadband where I live so I download big files on my phone then transfer them to my puter can I do this with an android phone? Will it download any type of file? Can I choose where to save it to? Can I view and extract rar and zip files on the phone? Can I view all files on the storage card even if they are not android files? Can I watch any type of video file? Is there a torrent client app? I think thats pretty much it. Thanks

Using Gameshark with Gameboid

For anybody who has been wondering, this is how it is done;

1. Ensure that you have a PC emulator for the same system as the game you play on your phone. For Gameboid, the VBAdvance is a good option.

2. Connect your phone to your PC via USB, put phone in Mass Storage mode.

3. COPY your ROM and it save file to your PC, in a folder of its own. Make sure that the ROM and save file are in the same folder together. Also, do NOT use a 'Save State' file, use an actual in-game save file.

4. Change the extension of the save file to '.sav'. Once again, this does NOT work for 'Save State' files.

5. Load ROM from phone on the PC. The game should load normally. Insert any Gameshark or other memory-editting codes you'd like, and then save t...
