TMAP

(Telephony and Media Audio Profile)

A key Bluetooth profile that enables the most common use cases for LE Audio: making phone calls and listening to content (music, podcasts, and video soundtracks). LE Audio is the newer standard for all kinds of audio over Bluetooth.

See: LE Audio

While Bluetooth 5.2 (and newer) and lower-level profiles such as BAP and CAP lay a foundation for LE Audio, it is the higher-level "Use Case" Profiles such as TMAP that actually implement the features you use.

Other Use Case profiles include PBP (Public Broadcast Profile), and HAP (Hearing Access Profile, for Hearing Aid ecosystem).
