Nokia 6680 to be used in U.S.

Sorry if this question is a bit noob but if I purchase this unlocked phone can I just get a sim card from my local Cingular store here in the U.S. for it to work?

Hump,

You can use this in the US, however the 3G features will be useless. In EUrope they use the 2100 mhz 3G band and the US uses 1900 for theirs.

Make sure you live in an area where there is 1900 mhz GSM frequency. If you live in a market where only 850mhz is avliable, then thw phone is usless too on the GSM side.
