does anyone know how to unlock mp3 ringtones from a phone, example a motorola v551 or motorola v600. When downloading ringtones(mp3 vrsions), they become locked to the phone. Is there anyway to unlock them and send them via bluetooth. thanks for the info.

cingular block the rightones from being transferred. Also the bluetooth version that moto uses will not allow to see oher moto phones this was to prevent othere people from hacking into you phone. so there is no way to do that sorry

You are able to use any type of music software to trim down the Mp3 file to fit on your phone and it should work. The problem with regular mp3 music files is that they are a little too big for the standard phone and it locks it. If you have any ?'s on the software let me know because I have it on my other computer. I have done it and it works fine.

No, the v551 will lock anything sent via EDGE/GPRS... If it's sent via mms it should be fine.

Errm... There's no block to prevent Moto phones from finding each other via bluetooth... I have used my Cingular branded v551 to communicate w/ other bluetooth enabled moto phones via BT... Several times.

only problem is the Motorola is on FINDABLE mode for about 30 seconds at a time when you turn it on as finable.
