Have heard that this phone has reception and battery problems and tiny phone book capacity (100 entries).

Yes, there is, but I would not recommend the V600. It has an issue with the 850 MHz band that is widely used in the US.

Great, and I just bought one on eBay for $300! Hopefully it shouldn't be a problem, since I've heard it's great in Chicago. Any comments on that?

cingular has the replacment phones that is correcting the problem you will neever to contact the service line at 1-800-801-1101. and tell them what phone you have and you are have reception problems.
