Cmr: But I have unlimited internet!
Me: Data access is not blocked, sir. It gets throttled.
Cmr: Well...I need my internet at a normal speed.
Me: For $10 more....
Cmr: No! I'm not giving you scam artists another dime. Fix it.
Me: It'll get fixed at the beginning of the next bill cycle.
At that point, the phone hangs up violently.
Yes, it's not a scam, but it's not an honest way of doing business either.
Unlimited data plans are no longer available here in Mexico, I have kept mine only because I refuse to upgrade my phone or change my plan in any way, therefore they can't force out of it, lol.
They still throttle my internet from time to time, but since I mostly access my web apps through my home Wi-Fi then it's all good.
Can't say I've beaten the system, but we are at a friendly stand-off.
