what a start to the day
i get rudely interrupted from this jerk while talking to another custie...he says will my phone work in the west indies? i say i dont know that depends on what technology they use down there cdma or gsm? he then asks if i know how much it would cost if it worked...i again say i dont know...depends on whos towers you use and what their roaming rate is...
he looks at me and says " well cant you figure that out?"
i say "nope"

It has info about what works where and how much it might cost. It also has contact info for the international department. If they are traveling internationally and want to use their phone, they should call that dept about 7- 10 days prior if possible.
I imagine the other carriers have similar parts of their websites and similar international customer service departments.
