i DESPISE jerk-offs like that - a customer cusses at me and my patience comes to an END.
car charger for old samsung's people coming in for accessories for their Iphone in a verizon store, people from sprint wanting me to look up their bill at my verizon store ect and so forth, and each one of those people have a false sense of entitlement and the error in judgement that tells them to yell and scream at me as if i just killed their puppy infront of them. I love nothing more than to smile at those people and remind them to have a nice day even as they are ranting all the way out my door.
Accessories for a phone from another carrier, needing something that only a corporate store can do, or , from before AT&T Mobility started selling Residential products, home phone services...boy do they get mad when we tell them we don't carry those phones/acc/services.
I didn't tell you to come here for that so don't get mad at me! And especially don't expect me to help you find it now that you've pissed me off, too!
something i do to deflect angry customers (not so much for accessories, but if they need a service i cannot provide is pull out my business card, lower my voice, and say, "i can give you a DIRECT number that will take you STRAIGHT TO the specific department....that way you won't be waiting on hold as long, etc, etc, etc...."
that way they leave with an OPTION and feel like you at least tried to help them, or let them in on this big secret of this special direct line to the assumption of liabilities department.... or to blackberry support like i did today.... etc.
with accessories, i offer to call the nearest store and see if they have them. helps to have the extra phone numbers listed in my phone!! 😲)
