I really didn't know what to say afterward...

"I'll need your mobile number, area code first please."

*silence*

"I'll need your mobile number, area code first please."

"Ma'am, are you still with me here?"

"Yeah, I'm here."

"Oh. I'll need your number to access your account."

"Oh, you meant right now?"

Well of course I want it right now! You want to be helped right now, don't you?

Simpletons. I could almost imagine her standing there drooling and staring blankly at a wall.

i got a customer that kept giving me the zip code ans i gt asking for the area code firstand then the mobile number but they kept giving me the zip code 🤣 🤣 🤣

I've had similar conversations with the customer asking me something like the "right now" question. My response is usually a big smile and I say "Whenever you're ready." Then I just sit there and smile at them. I'm not sure who's weirder in that situation, the customer, or me.
