Ringtone scam!!!
I just got off the phone with Cingular. It seems Jamster and other ring tone and game providers are billing me monthly for services.
I was charged $5.99 for a couple of months .
For what services? I do not know and Cingular said they did not know, but I would have to call Jamster to remove the monthly billing.
Cingular would not refund the charges since they did not bill me.
Jamster was a recording that said after I put my number in that they would stop billing me.

Jamster is the 'service' that is advertised on TV. They introduce new songs weekly, also do the joke a day. All they tell you (verbally) in the ad is that it is a certain cost for the ringtone/joke. If you read the fine print it says that you will be charged $5.99/month through your provider.

I had the same issue with Jamster for 3 months. Over 19.00 worth of charges and I e-mailed the company with every date I was billed. I received a check in about 4 weeks containing the amount owed and an addl 9.95 soon after. I take it the 9.95 for was pain and suffering. Lol. But they are pretty good with refunds.
