LG PM-325...Need info about USB date cable for this phone pls.

Just purchased an LG PM-325 and having problems finding free ringtones and such...being with Sprint and all. Heard that I can get a USB cable and Audacity to make my own tones. Questions is.....where do I get this cable and how does it work? Will I still need to be "online" to transfer data to my phone with this cable or not ? Please help, drivin' myself crazy on this one. Thanks 🙄
