Cingular Migration

Here's my story:
I'm an att cust who goes to college almost 4 hours away from my hometown. Although the school is in the same state it is in a different area code. Initially, I went into my local (at school) cingular store to perform the migration but was told they could not do it for me because my number was in a different market. I called customer service to do a migration over the phone but was informed that they would not ship my phone to an address that was in a different area from my home market. They told me to go to the store and do it. After i informed them that i had already tried that and that they couldn't get the information the rep said the store was mistaken and could do it "she could see it on her computer." I returned...

Sorry will repost in cingular forum...didn't realize it existed...oh yeah...how do i turn on my phone?...it's one of those days

send the phone to an address inthe town youwere gven your number and have whoever you send it to send the phone to you (preferably someone that youknow well, if phone is lost in mail you won't get any kind of replacement)
