New options to search by frequency band in Phone Finder
You'll see these in the Phone Finder if you choose "Show all options".
Please check it out and let us know what you think.
Specifically, are the band combo options available good ones? We've chosen eight band combinations that make sense to us, but we're keen to hear what options you might add or change. We don't want to overwhelm people with too many, so if you would add one, which existing one would you remove to make room?
Hey Rich
You can claim ignorance of my claims but google analytics don't lie... You website is a shell of its former glory. You used to have tens of thousands of forum posts. Now you are lucky to get 100 in a week.
I hope you didn't burn any bridges in your former jobs because those advertising dollars won't be coming in if your site continues falter.

New way of displaying network frequency bands
For example, you'll now see mode lists like:
LTE 2/4/5/17
...instead of:
LTE 700/850/1700/1900.
We've made this change for two reasons. First, as the number of distinct bands has exploded over recent years, it's been difficult to identify them all accurately using the old MHz designators. This is compounded by so many of them being so close together. For example, "LTE 700" could mean band 12, band 17, band 13, band 29, or even band 28. Using the band numbers is much clearer.
Second, it's the way the in...

Mr Brome
1st, I dispute the term personal attack. Referring to someone who is lying or defrauding people as a liar or a fraud is not a personal attack any more than saying the sun is yellow is a personal attack.
Referring to someone who is trolling and using inflammatory language as a troll is not a personal attack. It is describing behavior.
If you want to continue to choose sides and allow one party to insult another but not allow it for others, that is your "right" as the site owner, but it doesn't make you "right" to do so. If you want to censor pe...

Forum Consolidation
Perhaps it's time to consolidate the forums into fewer but larger. In times past, it wouldn't have made sense to do so because of the amount of traffic -- I don't think that is the case any longer.
If it were me changing it, I would have Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Tracfone, and US Cellular forums with all of the pre-paids below their parent companies. In addition, I'd add Ting, Smart Talk, and the other new upstarts.
I think a mild makeover such as that would spark new interest in this site.
Wifi Calling
Phone model?
Would it be possible?
One thing would be helpful.
I need to know phone models number very often.
Would it be possible for Phonescoop.com to include the phone model numbers in the "Info" tab?
Reason: Sometimes I only have the name of a phone, but I need the model number. When I search for "Droid Maxx", I get
Motorola Droid Maxx,
Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX HD,
Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX
Under "Droid Maxx" "Info", no model number is given. (At least I don't see it anywhere)
Yet when I search for model number "xt1080M" I get
Motorola Droid Maxx
AKA XT1080,
Motorola Droid Ultra
AKA XT1080
- So your system has the information, it just doesn't display it.
Thanks.
I'm working at in inbound calling center.
