Adding Airplane Mode Field?

Is there any reason why Airplane/Standalone mode isn't listed on phone models, considering that the FAA recently allowed Airplane Mode for electronic devices, so the phone can still be used as an organizer, or music player? It's something that would have influenced my choice between phones one way or the other so shouldn't be on the feature list?

Also, have you gotten any of the emails, I sent in a bunch of corrections through the website, and haven't seen a response, or revision to the site?

No major US airlines officially allow that yet. The flight attendants association and the CEA have announced a standard symbol for flight mode. When devices start using that symbol, the airlines are supposed to start allowing it. But AFAIK, no devices use it just yet.

When those devices do come out, we do plan to include it in the specs.

I see. Well, the other reason for airplane mode/standalone mode is when you want to save battery power. I'd use it just during school so I want to know if it has it, not if it's allowed on flights. I can provide a partial list of phones I know for sure that have it if your intrested, but I haven't heard anything on the corrections I submitted to this site so far, so I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Standalone Mode is just another name for Airplane Mode. It turns off the antanna so you get very long battery life for MP3 playback and orginziator features.
