Sprint lacks BlueTooth in its descriptor list on Phone Scoop. Why?

Rich, when I went to the Phone Scoop Sprint site to check for their BlueTooth phones, the descriptor list does not list BlueTooth followed by a Yes or No checklist. When I went to the Cingular PhoneScoop site (to check to see if other sites similarly lacked a BlueTooth option in the descriptor list), the descriptor list DID have BlueTooth listed, followed by the Yes or No option.

Why do the Sprint descriptor lists not mention BlueTooth at all? It would make it easier for those of us who are looking for BlueTooth phones and want to find out with a quick glance at the list on the left hand side.

😕 I honestly have no idea what you are talking about.

Are you talking about a search using the Phone Finder? That would be the way to find Bluetooth phones for a specific carrier...

For the page of any one specific phone, the features listed are the ones that phone has. If you want to show a list of all features, you need to click "show missing features".

Similarly, if you're doing a side-by-side comparison using the Compare tool, features aren't listed unless at least one phone has them.

Rich, first I went to CARRIERS in the blue left margin. Then I clicked SPRINT. I wanted to see all of the BLUETOOTH phones that Sprint offers. I did find one, but that was because "Has Bluetooth" was inserted in TEXT at the top of the page, not because I was able to check the vertical list of descriptors to find a BlueTooth category with a little box that was checked or X'd out.

I checked to see if this was consistent with other carriers. I checked Cingular only. Cingular did have BlueTooth listed in the left hand vertical column of descriptors.

Rich, I forgot one step. AFter clicking CARRIERS and then SPRINT, I clicked onto each phone. Then there is an array of phone icons to click on. The vertical list of descriptors that I was mentioning happens when one clicks onto the PHONE of interest.

It has nothing to with Cingular vs. Sprint.

If you went to a phone page and saw Bluetooth listed, it's because that phone has Bluetooth.

If you went to a phone page and didn't see Bluetooth, it's because that phone doesn't have Bluetooth.

The features listed are only the ones that phone has, unless you click "show missing features".

If you want to find current Sprint phones with Bluetooth, use the Phone Finder. Just choose:

  • Carrier: Sprint, Required

  • U.S. Carrier Availability: Available, Required

  • Bluetooth: Required

That will show you all the Sprint phones with Bluetooth.
