What did I do wrong?

Rich,
I hope that you can explain what I did wrong. I just got an email stating that one of my messages had been deleted because of a personal attack on one of my fellow PhoneScoopers. The post was deleted because of the statemant " Clown, you've got it wrong." First of all, there was definitely no malice in the statement. I have seen Scoopers called much worse than "Clown". Secondly, the name of the poster I was responding to is Bozothecellguy, who usually has an avitar with a picture of a clown and calls himself the clown. I like Bozothecellguy. He has a good sense of humor. I disagree with him sometimes politically, but then most things in politics can be debated upon.

It wasn't clear upon immediate inspection. When the meaning is ambiguous but could be interpreted as an attack or name-calling by someone else, we usually err on the side of caution. Sometimes people offend others by accident.

I honestly didn't notice the "bozo" part of the other person's name. I wasn't the only one, though, because that was an instance where someone reported the message to us.

Had I noticed the "bozo" in the name, I might not have deleted it, although it's a gray ares... I still might have deleted it, since at first glance it did look like name-calling, and that would be a bad example for others.

I hope that explains it. It's certainly nothing personal.
