Now, you can get a fair and flexible family plan with nextel. They are the same plans as the sprint versions, but instead of mobile to mobile, you get walkie-talkie for free. I think they should include mobile to mobile, but I still think nextel really needed this.

I like it...... I am finally out of contract and considering switching. But this at least helps Nextel for persuading me to stay. Their price structures need a change for sure and this was a good start. Would really like to see some new equipment too. I know the new i580 is due out this quarter, but one phone to every other carriers 5 just sucks. NEXTEL NEEDS NEW PHONES!!!!!

The problem with nextel is they only have one manufacturer. Thats why their phones are so limited. The good news is sprint is coming out with phones that work on both networks (iden and cdma) and motorola wont be the only manufacturer for them. So keep your eye out for those in Oct. if you decide to stay with them.

Heck yes the new CDMA/Iden phone should be out in October featuring Sprints Voice/Data netword with the PTT from nextel, i cant exactly say WHAT manufacturers will be making those phones specifically but I would not be suprised if it is Sanyo/Samsung to come out first.

Sprint Nextel made it clear that they had asked Motorola to design the dual-mode phones, so it will more than likely be Motorola who first comes out with one.

But will any be Bluetooth? If so, I may wait till they come out to switch from Verizon.
