Looking to leave T-Mobile...Need Input about the Competitor Carriers

After staying for 4 long years with T-Mobile, I am finally willing to move to another carrier. As for the reasons why, please see my posting on this forum with the Subject Title, "Issues with T-Mobile PDA Support Group. Especially with the Blackberry 7105T!!!".

Now I know that most of you here will come back to me saying that, "it's a matter of what works for me best, go with them." Granted! So I've gone ahead and listed out some criterion that I am looking to measure against in my choice for next cell carrier. It just may turn that I may have to go back around the block once more because I've been with practically all the major carriers out there except VZW but I really do not intend to go there because they are very expensive in a ...

Let me understand this...you post on a T-Mobile forum looking for competitor feedback for your looking to leave T-Mobile.

Did you consider posting on a competitor's forum? Do you really think you are going to receive honest information from people who are a) interested in T-Mobile or b) looking for answers about T-mobile issues.

Sorry I'm not providing you feedback but I question if you have the correct forum page to correctly answer what you are looking for.

Some honorable feedback in answer t oyour question......

Like me, there might be a few people on here who maybe disappointed with T-Mobile to some extent or other. Trust me, had T-Mobile acted honorably in helping me out wit...

I meant it rather seriously in reference to the person who replied to my original post but I am still glad you found it humorous! I'll try to keep it coming for ya homie!

IAH, am I really wrong to post the material I did in my original post here?

๐Ÿคจ Ummmm, personally, I dont think that it is "wrong", but I do think that you may get better results regarding info about other carriers in a general forum or in a specific carriers forum. You can post whatever where ever you want, I just wouldn't hold my breath to get the answers you may want to hear or for people to jump on your bandwagon in a TMobile forum.

OK, Point well taken. BUT, do you think it is right or wrong that I've had a $300 device (This was the price when I bought it last November) and it does nothing but crash consistently and all T-Mobile is willing to do is replace it with a potentially "refurbished" device of the same model repetitively only to see the custome...

From a consumers stand point, I can understand your frustration. Let me run down a little on how it works from our end. With the equipment, we have 14 days from the time that we invoice the equipment from you to return it to the manufacture if it is defective. If we dont, we need to eat tthe FULL price of the device. And trust me, if you paid 300 for it, it means we paid 560.

I was basicly trying to say that "refurbs" are what the manufacure sends as "warranty replacements". It is the same with ALL carriers. I have worked for a few and they all do it. Even if you had the 3rd party insurance, it would do the same.

T-Mobile, with non-data devices (e.g., my previous Siemens CF 62T), has a policy that if the same issue repetitively occurs say about 3 or more times anytime during your customership with the carrier (not just 14 days), then they would offer to exchange the model out altogether with a model of equal value. However, this policy is not in effect for the data devices and this is what is pissing me off totally about T-Mobile. In November (Holiday...

Understandable, and a work of advice if I may. Based upon whatever type of business you are in, I always do recommend people away from the Windows based phones. ie: MDA, Treo W's , Moto Q's. Windows is far to complex of an OS to try to water down and cram into a device. They ALL have the same problems with every carrier. If you need that type of device, a blackberry as plyed out as they are, are always the saure shot. Web may not be as fast, may not be as fancy, but they sure as hella re reliable and get you your emails at the drop of a dime ๐Ÿ˜

You may want to just limit your praises to the BB to just the 8700g. The 7100t and 7105t are truely terrible devices!

What can I say? You must be Arnold Schwarzenegger from the Twins movie and I'm Danny Devito (a.k.a, the crap leftover).

Trust me, had T-Mobile acted honorably in helping me out with my dilemma as posted in the "Issues with T-Mobile PDA Support Group! Especially with the BB 7105T!!" posting, then I would be thinking differently today. Perhaps before demonstrating haste on the matter of whether I am posting on the right forum page or not, please go read the posting mentioned above ehre for yourself. You'll automatically come to your senses as to why I am posting it here. I am looking to leverage some information from the other disappointed T-Mobile custo

๐Ÿ˜ After the doldrums that I was going through that you all must have read about in my earlier posting above, it pleases me enough to say that T-Mobile's Corporate Rep for the Consulting firm that I work for has saved the day. As a result of my interaction with her recently through both phone and e-mail discussions, I will be receiving a RIMM BB 8700g pretty soon. This is being shipped as I have been told via UPS Ground and so I'll be expecting to get this shipment in the next couple of days here in Tallahasse, FL. (P.S. - The phone (I believe) is being shipped from the Forest Park, GA or La Grange, GA warehouses so it should take not more than 2-3 business days to get here.)

I promise I will let you all know how the phone is once I g...
