When will T-Mobile learn?

...that gazillion minutes is not really helping them on competing with the big boys. 650,000 net adds for Q2 is a ridiculous number for a company that gives so many more minutes than the rest.
T-Mobile WAKE UP!

You can give all the minutes away but if you do not have many top notch handsets to attract customers then you get 650K in net adds. They should diversify their handset offerings and try something new like BenQ, Siemens, Panasonic, or hell anything besides 3 Samsungs that look alike and are more for prepay children than anything else. I also think that if they do not win big at the spectrum auction, then they might as well downgrade themselves to MVNO status b/c life is gonna be hell for TMo USA 😢

T-Mo offered a Siemens, and the damn thing was a nightmare.

I underwent that nightmare prior to my current RIM BB. It would have been T-Mob...

I hear you moaning and whining, but I don't hear any suggestions from you on how they could improve. If you're not part of the solution you might as well consider yourself a part of the problem.

I'll give some suggestions.

Better phones. Wider diversity in that selection. Improved native coverage area. Advanced services like mobile radio, TV, something that puts them on par with what the others bring to the table. 3G offerings (they get spectrum, or they get lost). And I'd love to see them lose the pink (ha).

They have a lot of things to work on. Being cheap just isn't cutting it. People want more.

Whats really funny is that you only make suggestions that have been made by everyone else on here talking about everyother service! Lets admit it, you suck! think of something original for once, than come back and finally give some GOOD advice. Untill then sit on your thumb and finger yourself dip weed!

It's really not a matter I can change if everyone finds the same faults in T-Mobile's business. If you didn't notice, the poster I replied to asked for legitimate suggestions for improvement, and I was the first to respond. What T-Mobile lacks is what they lack. Period. Am I supposed to "be original" and suggest they give free coffee to anybody that walks into a T-Mobile store?

Get a life. The fact of the matter is that T-Mobile's phone lineup, coverage, and 3G offerings is exactly where they lack. That's what puts them behind in the game. Don't be upset by the truth, because you know...sometimes it hurts.

Now go sit in the corner, think about the fool that you are, and come out when you've realized it. How's that for good advic...

T-Mos coverage is fine. Everyone knows roaming agreements are in place and not only that they've added over 800 towers last year. UMA trials are underway and lets wait till the auction results are announced. T-Mo knows where they're lacking and will come around. Patience my friend, patience!! 🙄

T-Mobile's coverage is not fine in comparison to the competition. Heck, even Alltell is giving T-Mobile's coverage a run for their money. You and I both know that a company cannot rely heavily on roaming agreements. For one, it's not profitable, and secondly, it's not as beneficial (or reliable) to the customer as native network coverage.

As far as T-Mobile adding 800 towers last year, kudos to them. However, that's a very small number in proportion to the amount of towers that each Cingular and Verizon put up last year as well. I cannot speak for Sprint as I do not know their stats, but you are foolish if you believe that T-Mobile isn't being stomped on as far as increasing coverage area goes.

I do give T-Mobile credit for maki...

I agree. T-Mo needs to realize that it is not about giving more minutes that the other carriers. They need to invest and expand their network like the other carriers... I wish the best for T-Mo on the next spectrum audition.
Obviously the whole "more minutes" thing is not working. I think that they haven't figured it out yet; because I keep seeing their same old commercials about the darn annoying cheerleader girl talking away and asking for another battery. These types of commercials might be cool for the high school kids, but they are not the ones buying the phones... The PEBL flopped, no matter what color they put on it they won't catch on. It's time for replacing it for something else.

I would like to know if ANY of you are actually TMobile customers and if so for how long? I AM a customer and have been of over 5yrs and I could care less about all that junk many of you want on the phones. it's not necessary, if I wanted a computer I'd buy one. I wouldn't expect or even want my phone to be a phone, a camera, a video recorder, a tv and a computer. NO THANKS. I have a tv, a camera and a computer. A phone is not suppose to be a one stop shop where you can do everything including make it drive for you. Most everyday customers, like me, don't want or need all that stuff.

Yes, there is. I am a Cingular employee... so by me porting that especific line I'll save $44 (I'm on the $29.99)

Why did I get T-Mo if I work for Cingular? Well, back in 2004 T-Mo was the only carrier that could receive text messages from Vzla. Things have changed and since Cingular can now send and RECEIVE (my prob was receiving them) text from Venezuela; I don't need T-Mo anymore!

16 days left in my contract. I loved T-Mo's service, but there are no reasons for me to stay. 😢

Well, I certainly am, 2 years now. And I think the "lame phone" charge sticks. As a business user who does make some business trips overseas I want features. At least 3 bands, preferably 4. Ability to deal with at least some e-mail, though not so much that I'm ready for a Smartphone. Bluetooth, both for information transfer and for the wireless headset. MP3 player for the airplane rides. I have enough crap to carry on business trips as it is, so I DO want a phone to do mulitple duty. Glad you feel you can live with a simple phone, but don't for a minute think that's the only use out there.

So where are the Nokias - the high-end ones that actually work instead of the 8801? Where are the SE phones? Why does T-Mobile insist on one lame Samsu...

T-Mobile offers 3 phones that do everything you just listed. The Motorola V360, Samsung T809, and Samsung T609. The Sam T809 is one of the best phones I've ever used.

Just give me an e-mail address so I can fire all this off to the VP who picks the new phones. Lame handsets is the main reason I've been month-to-month for a year now.

Go to howardforums.com in the T-Mobile forum and in the wiki there's contact information or a form that you can fill out. Good luck.

The MDA, BlackBerry,SDA, T809 will do the jobs just fine. SE and Nokia are not the only cell phone manugacturers. Besides, the low-end phones of the Nokia coming out of China are not at the same quality as the high-end ones made in Finland.
Same with SE.

You must be a lousy salesman.

I am a T-Mobile Sales Rep., no I am not indirect(thank G-d)

I am on my 8th work day of the month and I've sold 30 phones. I am trending at about 90 phones.

I don't understand why your entire store has 8 out, and how that is at all T-Mobiles fault.

Better get on them CELLS!
