ADVICE PLEASE!!!

I have had my Nokia 6101 for about 5 months now. The phone is pretty good but then it started freezing and turning off on its own and when listening to my ring tones and recordings it would skip. So I am thinking about getting a new phone, but I know I can't get an upgrade so I was wondering how much it would cost me to get a new phone or if I should just buy a phone off of ebay. Well if you have any suggestions please post them. Thanks!! 🙂 😁

if you want a non warranty phone, one that may have fallen off the back of a truck, or is locked.... go ahead .... unless you take REALLY good care of your stuff.... a decent phone will run you 200 but you could find good deals at stores depending

That's funny because most people I know always have great luck with Ebay and the stuff is cheaper. You must work for the mobile solution! They are always full of bad advice

Caveat Emptor! I won't say tmo rep is completely wrong, but one can find good stuff on ebay. I recently bought several 3595s, made sure they were unlocked or set for my carrier, & now they're in use! I even have a spare, never a bad idea...

originally a term coined for dealing with real estate agents when real estate agents became an occupation. bit of info there.

now what is 'let the seller beware'?

"caveat emptor" let the buyer beware.
"caveat vendito" let the seller (vendor) beware

Google is sooooo useful! 🙂

beyond you look like a damn mobile solution. i work for a t-mobile call center where people call in at leat 8- times a day and i have come across alot of cases where the phone is shot in less than a month... my other reps can vouch for *Warranty not verified* than they say "Oh, I got it from ebay"

you get what you pay for.. ya know. i just dont want to persuade anyone to set themselves up for that kind of failure. YES IT MAY BE CHEAP i bought **** that is 400-500 for less than 20... but not a cell phone....

Well, anyone can use scare tactics to try and pursuade someone that it's better to buy from the carrier. Think of the advantages! The carrier makes more money too! A good de...

good deal lol i dont get any commission off of sales..... nor do i persuade customers to purchase anything. i'd rather deal with the customer who HAS a warranty rather than the customer who THOUGHT they had a warranty... and you reall dont know until something goes wrong. I'm not trying to scare anyone.... if you ever had to deal with that call for 20 minutes and or got screwed over by ebay you will know.

I've gotten several phones through eBay. I've only had one less than totally satisfactory experience. Just pay attention to feedback on the party you're buying from.

Your phone is covered under a one year warranty by T-Mobile if you bought it from the company. You can go to any corporate store and they'll do a warranty exchange for you. You get another 6101 though.

The only warning I'll give you about Ebay is that if anything happens to your phone ie a repeat of the crashing on your 6101 T-Mobile will not replace it. There is no warranty on it. You may be able to still get insurance on it through Asurion, but I'm not promising that you can if you get the phone from somewhere other than T-Mobile.

Try the warranty first. If you absolutely cannot live with the 6101 and need a different phone ask if the store has any returns in stock that they can resell because you'll get a good phone at a lower pric...

Listen...I have been on ebay way longer than I've worked for T-Mobile and I've bought and sold just about everything out there from phones to video games to car parts and I've sold lil kids toys and boardgames, old comic books, and phones too.

Ebay is good...when buying...look for these things so you do not get screwed:
-their feedback percentage...95% or lower...and i wouldn't do it.
-their total feedback...if they have over a 100...their new but they'll probably be honest.
-ask questions about items...hard questions...if they want you to buy it they'll respond honestly. if they beat around the bush (example: well there is a scartch or two instead of saying how many and where on the phone then don't buy).
-Look and MAKE SURE they h...

I have a Nokia 6131 that I got on Ebay. I bought the 6131 cuz the 6101 is a piece of ****, that freezes, turns off, and all other types of bullshit. Maybe if T-Mobile would get some HIGH END phones people wouldnt have to get them unlocked from Ebay. Anyway my phone IS covered by a warranty through the Nokia factory in Hungry.
