Watson Here At My House?!

For the reps here... How the hell is that possible? I thought Watson (and most of the sites) was intranet only and no way accessible to just anyone... Especially on THE INTERNET!??! Someone posted a big list of company links that I am around all day at work but didn't know was available to the average pudlic. The post was made in the T-Mobile forum at HowardForums.com and I didn't believe it at first, then I click on Watson and it asked for my logons, so I put them in, and voila, the main page. POS and CAM aren't available, but I was able to enter the New Customer Application screen and get my friend approved for service. Smartaccess, but it's still good for one activation!

I KNOW you aren't full of crap, but I don't think it's a big deal. WATSON is a web-based activations system, meaning that it can be accessed by any computer with an internet connection. That's how indirect dealers are able to access it without being patched directly into some kind of intranet, which wouldn't be economical. I don't think being able to access it anywhere makes it more of a risk. If somebody wants to commit subscription fraud I think they will do it just about anywhere. By the way, Verizon's online activations tool works exactly the same way. I like it because when I have the day off and my employees have a hard time with something I can jump on the computer quick and take a look at what they are doing.
