Well, it was nice while it lasted, but reliable sources have it that come March, T-Mobile will begin offering two year agreements to new customers.
I wasn't able to deduce whether the one year will still be a choice (with a higher priced phone, no doubt) or if you will be forced into a two year.
Seems like T-Mobile is finally ready to start playing with the big boys...and leaving customers in the dust 😡
...
I still doubt 2 years initial contract can hold customer good, even offers good deal
...
Ya if the customer wants to go they will no matter what the deal I am sad though 😢 T-Mobile has always been unique on the simple fact they let the service speak for itself and only do a one year contract to show it. It will be a sad sad loss
...
😕 i was lost by your statement, can you please explain ecactly what was meant?
...
I knew it was only a matter of time until T-Mobile was going to 1. discontinue thier 19.99 plan, 2. Change to two-year contracts.
I won't be suprised if they get rid of thier 29.99 plans, and make thier plans start at 39.99.
Eventually T-Mobile will be like Verizon, Sprint, and Cingular.
...
We were effectively losing money on the 19.99 plan. One call into customer care or one adjustment on the account and we ended up losing money on the account for a year.
...
Ah I see. Well I just upgraded from my 19.99 plan to my 29.99 plan and I have the 4.99 messaging bundle so I bet T-Mobile is happy with me now that they are no longer losing money off of me.
...
We are in the busy of making money as all for profit companies are. We have to make good decisions that not only benefit our customers but make us profitable.
...
well, until it actually happens, reliable sources just wont work for me 🤣
...
The thing about it is that tmobile's customer service won't change which is a very good thing. Also I don't see them becoming like the other carriers in that they don't care about their customers. By locking customers into a 2 year contact they will be able to offer more services ( like deploying their 3g network) and expanding coverage allowing them to become a major player in the market.
...
Hmmmmm, I think it is already changing, speak to anyone over there lately?
...
here is the word its coming...and i know 4 a fact...i own a couple retail stores...get the deals while you can.. 😎
...
😳 How can you own the retail stores? are you the ceo ? or are you a regional? Or maybe just exlusive indirect?
I know its way off subject and just forthe record i disagree with the 2 year contract
...
i own a five retail indirect stores to clairfy..i am by no means the ceo of tmobile..but the president of a small reseller or indirect agent..we work with tmobile but are not tmoblie owned stores 😛
...
Ok just wanted to clarify that and congrats on 5 stores you are doing something right hope busness is booming
...
tmobile rocks it though so its ok by me!
😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎
...
It is true. It was revealed at a big company wide manager meeting in Chicago. Supposedly on the 12th I believe.
...
Now, it's been several months since I've worked there, however I was there when the 2 year contract option started rolling out. At that time at least, it was an option, not a requirement. (For better phone pricing, etc...) Will it still be like that? Both verizon and cingular (not sure about sprint)offer 1 and 2 year contracts, and it is the customers choice.
