T-Mobile Discounts?

mrgreen

Jun 21, 2004, 12:44 AM
I work for USPS and as you can see here (http://www.usps.com/news/online/deals/) discounts to postal employees are offered from ATT, Cingular, Verizon, Sprint, and Nextel. I don't see T-Mobile....? Is this just undocumented? I really would like to go with T-Mobile...
Thanks to anyone who can answer this one.

Unfortunately, at this time T-Mobile doesn't offer a discount to USPS employees. 😢 We do have a large list of companies that we offer a discount to, but it seems we have not extended to the USPS. I can tell you, though, that T-Mobile offers better rate plans and ftrs with ONLY 1 YEAR contracts than any other company. So, no discount, but you'll pay less anyway!

Right. If you go anywhere else for a similar discount, you have to sign your life away for 2 years.

If you get a rate plan thats 39.99 and up, you can get an upgraded phone when your contract is up.

"sign your life away for 2 years"

Yeah because 2 years is sooooo long. I think it's hilarious when people bitch about a contract length. It's all in the head, the fact you hear CONTRACT people automatically thnk the worst. If you were with a service carrier that was ever THAT bad, you were lame to sign up with them to begin with because you didn't do your research. When it just comes down to it, the worst that can happen is you do indeed hate it that much and you pay, at worst, $200 to cancell. BFD... Mobile phone contracts have never bothered me.

"sign your life away for 2 years" = humourous sarcasm for those who lack it.

a lot of customers do hate signing a contract for 2 years though. I think it's just cuz they wanna go find new carriers after their contract is up cuz there are so many options out there.

And for people who sign for two years with a company with better prices than anyone and better deals....sometimes find that the phone doesnt work for crap and now they're either stuck or have to pay more than they should have to.
That extra year is pretty rough if you're with a service that you dont like. Especially if you're done with a year and know that you'd be out by now if you had went with the one year.

Bah, I would just pay the damn cancellation charge if it "was that bad".
