T-Moble Coverage in Chicagoland

I have Sprint right now and am trying to figure out who to switch to for a new carrier, I am tired of Sprint missing calls in my house. I am out in the western burbs Fox Valley Area. Any insight if T-Moble is a good choice? Also I go to Cheeseland quite often, Green Lake area. If anyone happens to know, does T-Moble get decent reception (if any) up there?

Cheesland is Wisconsin. T-Mobile only serves the Milwaukee & Sheboygan markets. In Green Bay, you would either roam on Einstein PCS if you have a PCS only band phone, or Cingular on a dual-band phone if it picks up a cellular band signal. T-Mobile varies in the Chicagoland area, but some parts of the Chicago market is known for overloaded circuits to static on calls. T-Mobile is definitely known for spotty coverage. They have good plans and phones though. If you want to make sure you have good service, I would recommend someone other than T-Mobile, especially if you go to Green Bay a lot, and have to roam a lot on either Einstein or Cingular. You might otherwise look into Verizon for the Chicago market or US Cellular for both areas. ...

I thought the area was Green Bay, but I noticed it's Green Lake. It still stands though that you'll roam on either Cingular or Einstein PCS when using T-Mobile, since T-Mobile only serves Milwaukee & Sheboygan markets in Wisconsin. VZW doens't serve Green Lake at all, so if you were on VZW, you'd roam either on Alltel or US Cellular. You'd might want to look at US Cellular if you mainly travel between the Chicago area and Wisconsin in the southern half of the state. But if mainly stay in the Chicagoland area and occasionally travel up to Wisconsin, you might get lucky and have good service with T-Mobile, depending on how well capacity is handled on each tower.

i go to fox valley quiet alot and t-Mobile is great in that area. About cheeseland, i dont know.
call 1 877 606 4801 and the tmobile custumer service rep will help you. They'll do a personal coverage check, all you have to give them is a zip code.

I've seen that compass thing before, is that pretty accurate?

I have been interested in Verizon, but am growing tired of them delaying the Moto V325. I am VERY interested in the PEBL, but am very weary of T-Mobile just because I know nobody in my circle of friends that has it. From what I've read , it seems that their coverage is great in metropoliton areas, but lacks pretty badly in rural roaming areas where Verizon might be a little better.

I don't know much about their plans and different network types, but does T-mobile rate about the same as U.S. Cellular? I have a friend with them and he gets coverage everywhere, in the city, in the burbs, in the boonies of WI and IL, and hell, he even had coverage on a glacier in Alaska (no...

US Cellular serves the southern half of Wisconsin, so the Green Lake area is covered by US Cellular. T-Mobile doesn't serve that area, so you'd roam on either Einstein PCS or Cingular (if they cover that area). VZW is the same, they don't cover the area, so you'd roam on either Alltel or US Cellular. VZW mainly covers the Milwaukee, Sheboygan, Green Bay, Beloit, Jansville, & Madison markets. I know Ozaukee County is crap for VZW. But I haven't had problems in Madison, Janesville, Racine, Kenosha, & Milwaukee for VZW. I also haven't had problems in the Chicago area (especially Chicago itself) for VZW. Some of this info is repeated up above.
