Hmm. This is quite interesting, because they will launch it in those markets but will they launch it in the United States market and if so will it be to late?

Any opinions?

With any introduction of new hardware, software development and applications usually lag in terms of market availability. I think T- Mobiles' waiting until 2007 will not hurt, With their role out of wi-fi on the go, and 3 g in selective European markets now, by 2007 they will have had experience with the network and software which will probably just be coming out, so that those who want a meaningful experience with 3 g will not really suffer too much. Edge speeds alone with phone pda integration should serve business customers well in the intern. A technology that would really revolutionize data cell phone use, would be speech recognition to text entry software. It's still in its infancy but if money were spent on this feature, then meaningf...

And entering usernames and passwords on a phone (even with T9) gets pretty old. What we need is a much better user interface where you can customize shortcuts that only take the press of a key or scrolling through a short menu.

Also, smarter ways of entering information would improve "speed." T9 is a ...

I don’t understand what you don’t get from my comment with too late. I mean that do you think its too late if tmobile USA launches umts/hsdpa in the 07-08 time frame (that is if they win 3g spectrum) because cingular will probably have it within the 05-06 time frame?

right, and that still doesn't say too late for what? are you implying that once cingular gets umts/hsdpa up and running the cellular market is over for t-mobile?
