I have read many threads on here about why Tmobile will soon go out of business and here is my rebuttle.
1) JD Power & Associates. 2004 and 2005 Award for best overall customer care. Tmobile ranking at 105, top of the list.
2) Upforth and coming Edge technology, replacing GPRS which will enable faster data transfer and clearer calls.
3) Marketing towards younger populous, creating nothing but growth for Tmobile and spending more money per account.
4) Targeting Larger citys where more people will be using their phones. This is where the majority of the population is in the US. All bigger cities, ex. Seattle, Chicago, NY all are major Tmobile cities. This also enables Tmobile to spend it's revenue in areas where people actually U...

not to mention these other factors:
Competitive price plans. Currently for 1000 min. Free N&W is currently $14 less then competitors pricing per month.
1 year contract.
Tmobile only requires a 1 year contract as opposed to a 2 year service agreement.
...
I deffinately agree. T mobile is in a good position though many people think they are not. Their launching EDGE. So they are keeping their foot in the door on better technology. They are among the fastest growing and have been for a while. They have a great marketing strategy, probally the best in the nation. With high customer satisfaction their a force to reckon with.

I guess I summed it up for ya

The best thing about T-Mobile is the one year contract. That is one of the main reasons i signes with T-Mobile. Man 2 year contracts are borrriingg. Seriously with one year contract i could switch phones or worst comes to worst switch carriers.
...
Prices are not that much different for other carriers and vs T-mobile for existing customers to get a one year contract. Hey the company I work for has very similiar one yr prices for existing customers as T-mobile does the only real advantage T-mobile has is with new customers because T-Mobile is one of the few companies that give better prices to new customers and are not that generous to old customers. I do know this cuz I have service with T-Mobile and upgrade prices are no where near as good as new customers even with no upgrade for over a year.
...
Most carriers are like that. Having a one year contract makes it eassier for us to the promos that new customers get. So it has a better advantage over those who require two year contract.
...
I know but it does not help with retention. Many customers do not care about phones the way we do and do not mind haveing one for 2yrs and saving $60. Well my company does not require any contract to change your plan regardless of promo or not so the 2 yr agreement is your choice based on the phone price YOU choose to pay. I will do only 1 yr contracts myself but hey I love new phones and I will pay an extra $60 for that benefit. Well with T-mobile I got locked in for almost another year by going to the 59.99 1000 min plan and then another 6 months when I went to the 45.99 1000 which I nolonger need but am under contract until November due to only Rate plan changes. I never thought I would get free service when I got hired for a competitor s...

Yes as with everyone.Hey I am not bashing T-Mobile they do do some things that set standards in the industry.

I worked for just about all the other big companies and I have to tell you that T-mobile is the best by far. No other company gives you a discount after only three months of service. No other company gives you a discount on a new phone as an existing customer which is equal or better than a new customer while your current phone is still under warranty. 1 year contract. So what if you have to renew it if you decide to sign up for a promotional rate plan. Its still only a year. All the others do the same and they require a two year. No other company tries as hard to keep you as a customer!!! I know. As far as coverage, they all have problems in different areas. There is no perfect company for everyone. People are different and use t...

I wouldn't be all that surprised to see them go to two year contracts in the relatively near future.

I totally agree with you there. I am a Chicagoan, and T-Mobile ranks number one here. Everyone has a T-Mobile phone, and I mean all 10 million of us here in this city.
My sister has T-Mobile To-Go and she loves it. When my contract runs out next spring, I will use T-Mobile To-Go because I don't use my phone a lot and prepay will be cheaper for me.

I don't know about considering his statement too bold. In your discussion against his statement it was needed to mention several companies to downplay T-Mobile. In the end, you really supported his statement that T-Mobile will grow to be in the Top 3 by showing it takes so many bigger companies to compare to T-Mobile.
...
I was comparing T-Mobile to "so many bigger companies" because T-Mobile is still considered a national carrier, although I do stress the smallest by far of them all.
Think about it. Of the theoretical top 3 companies, and the four national players, the numbers stand like so:
Cingular: 51.6 million
Verizon: 47.4 million
Sprint-Nextel (if lawsuits get cleared up): 45+ million
T-Mobile: 18+ million
That's a good 27 million customers difference between T-Mobile and the smallest of the big three. It's going to take a lot longer than two years to surpass, or even come close to any of those companies.
I don't support his statement that T-Mobile will grow. However, I do not support his statement that T-Mobile will gro...

*I do support his statement that T-Mobile will grow.

We will have to wait and see. I do think it would be unrealistic to expect a 27 million customer jump, but then again, stranger things have happened.
...
That and Alltel is only about 5 million customers behind T-Mobile at this point.
...
T mobile will make a good transition and catch up. All the tier one service providers were behind at one time. Cingular was!! I live in a small city and I go out to the country all the time I have great coverage with T mobile to beliving in Oklahoma thats really good.
...
The Sidekick is T-Mobiles text message monster. I can't believe you haven't seen all the commercials with Snoop Dog, Paris Hilton, Burt Reynolds, and the midget guy. But then again, I don't watch TV much any more either, so even I wouldn't have seen that commercial now.
...
Yeah... I think I saw that commercial on my Verizon VCAST phone. EVDO is great!

Yea, I appreciate you trying your best to prove an interesting point that tmobile USA will be in the top 3 of the cellular companies, however, that is quite a long shot, to be frank. You did make some very good points, though and I commend you.
1. I 100 percent agree with you on this one.
2. Cingular already beats them out with their system as well as umts/hsdpa and tmobile won’t have that until at least 2007 but first they have to win some 3g spectrum.
3. Very good point.
4. again very good point
5. I haven’t been looking at the phones; however, I will consider your statement and trust it.
6. That isn’t exactly true, because look at boost and virgin mobile they are doing better then Tmobile’s prepaid product.
So yes, your poin...
