My friend Corbin, in Las Vegas, who owns a MyTouch claims he's getting speeds above 7mbps on Tmo's 3G network.

Hmm, I really wonder how accurate his results are. Any MyTouch owners live in Las Vegas getting speeds above 7mbps?

Thx for the fast response! I don't have a clue how he's getting these speeds, I asked him if he has wifi turned on and he said no.

Well a little bit ago I was having dinner @ KFC and I got 2.09mbps using mobilespeedtest.com, that's using a Nokia N95-3 on ATT. Which since your a Verizon fanboy you probably think ATT is worse than Cricket or Virgin Mobile.

Ok first off I've ran the test a couple dozen times, and all my results varied BETWEEN 6.53mbps on the low end and 7. 8.33 mbps on the highly end. As for the person who stated tmo maxes out at about 3 mbps, your wrong there too. A couple dozen tests can't all be wrong, oh and btw my local tmo tech support says the my touch maxes out at 8 mbps, so try again. It's an android phone and is basically the cream of the crop as far. As released phones in the us.

HSPA maxes out at 7.2mbps. HSPA+ will match out at 21mbps. They are testing HSPA+ in more markets than just Philadelphia, where it just went live. Its possible that those results came in during a test session. I experienced something similar in my market myself before 3G launched I would occasionally get a 3G connection.
Currently, Las Vegas is running UMTS/HSPA.
