I am looking to buy a new phone and am contemplating on which phone to buy. I am stuck between the Motorola A630 and the Nokia 6600. I know that they are two different phones but I was wondering if some people could give me some feedback on the over all quality of these and which one would be better. Any feedback would be great.

depends on what you are looking for in a phone, the 6600 is more feature rich of course

I am looking for over all quality I guess. Reception, durability, etc. I love to text so I like the keyboard, but the sales guys are telling me to stick away from the A630 and go with the Nokia. I would love to have a speakerphone, durabiltiy and the best reception I can get.

Are the Moto phones really that bad. I really liked what I was seeing about the A630 and when I started inquiring about it people deterred me from it. Why is that? And is the Nokia a good phone?

ive had both and i can most definately say to get the nokia out of those two. my manager traded her 6600 for an a630 because she is a text crazy, and she regrets it. reception is also a big factor in her swap the nokia was much better.

Yes, people are giving you the right advice, bud. I really hate to say it because moto phones really look sweet, have great features, and are fun to use. They have come a LONG way from where they used to be, but the quality and reliability in my opinion (and a lot of other people's too) is just not there. Get the Nokia.

I can only speak from my own experience, but I have had no problems with Moto. I have had three Moto phones and none have given me any problems. And I have had all the ones that usually have problems. But what the people are saying is true, Nokia has shown good performance over Moto.

I know people that say that too...that they've not had problems with moto's that is...I've had a couple with different carriers and they were all turds

Verizon: V120
Cingular: V60t, C331t
T-Mobile: V300

With T-Mobile I've also had a Nokia 3650, Samsung V205, Samsung R225, Nokia 6610(Demo/loaner), and now a SidekickII. I absolutely love my sidekickII!
As far as phones, I'd have to say I liked the 6610 the best, R225 coming in a close 2nd.

I like the turd comment. Most of my friends say similar things about Moto phones. We have all had similar or the same phones, but theirs always break or have issues. The phone gods must be smiling on me for now. 😁

Thanks for your help. I may have to go with the Nokia. Does anyone know if more phones from T-mobile will be coming out?

Well, the samsung X475 and Nokia 3320 will be out within a month (supposted to be anyway). The 3220 is a lot like the 6610. It's small, camera, speaker phone, cool little things on the side that light up when it rings...I had the pleasure of trying it out for a bit, too (obviously before it is released). The signal seemed to be very strong, user friendly, and quite frankly it's just plain neat I think. It has a good "feel" to it, too. It is pictured in white, but will come with a black faceplate too, which in my opinion looks a lot better.

It's not as "fancy" as the 6600, but definately a neat little phone. I'n not 100% sure what pricing will be on it, and what rebates if any will be of...

I called T-Mo just before they released the new Blackberry and they didn't have any new info. But if any of the T-Mo staff on here are reading they may know a little more. I've heard that the human relations people get to help with testing the phones.

H.R., T.A.'s, Sr Reps...they all get to help test the new phones before they're released.

All of our employees also recently had to take a short online class, and sign some additional terms and conditions of our employment basically putting our jobs on the line if we are caught disclosing any company propriotary information anywhere, including web forums. (yes "online web forums" was specifically listed) So, unfortunately there may not be as many reps able to provide as much information as in the past about upcoming products, policies, procedures, etc...I just mentioned these phones because they've already been brought up before and it's old news. We'll still be around for general help or questions, but I'm not going to jeopardize my job...

Well, that kind of sucks that they did that to you guys. Of course it's the same in other industries too. Wish it wasn't so.

It should be a good phone, it's basically an E105 except for it's looks, and a newer software version. I think it offers good features, and though I haven't seen but pictures of it-looks pretty classy.
