Can data plans be used for multiple devices?

Specifically, can I use both the upcoming Tmo 3g modem (for my laptop) and a Nokia N-series (which would be the original device on the data plan)? From reading the info on the 3g modem, I can't tell whether they require a separate plan just for the modem itself.

They do require a separate plan. You can't swap the SIM around anymore for the data card.

This may work, but it I don't know yet. Official communication is that to use the 3G data stick you have to change off the old plans. Usually T-Mobile picks up on things like this pretty quick. For example: when the Dash launched it became known that if you had the old T-Zones the internet on the Dash worked. T-Mobile eventually fixed this. Same thing is happening with the G1 right now. Some people put the G1 plan on and then after registering removed it, and it worked. T-Mobile has changed it so that if you try use a data feature on the G1 w/o the G1 plan, it asks you to add it before completing any actions. I'd be willing to bet T-Mobile will ask people to change their plan before allowing access on the data card.
