I'm with VZW witch saved my ass the other day.

But my buddy who came to get me had a G1 witch once we got back to civilization I played with.
That's a really cool phone! 😲
But one thing I noticed right away with the white one you can't see the keys at night, they're very poorly lit.
And to my surprise even in an EDGE only area the browser was pretty fast.
If TMO were to say match VZW's coverage it'd be a no brainer.

The G1 is a very nice phone. In a non 3g market the browser still rocks. Much faster than many of the other edge type browsers. My friend's MO Wing (htc) is slow as rocks compared to the G1. The G2 should be even better.

An update to an already great phone won't make a crappy network's data faster. 🤣

Honestly, see if you can get an unlocked G1 and try it on AT&T's network... I think you'll be even more pleased... and you won't have to "upgrade" to the G2.

And how would using an unlocked G1 with ATT help data speeds? 😕

LOL. It sounds like Purplelettuce just like to bag on t-mobile. I'm sure if you went over to ATT they wouldn't mind hearing it.

I was thinking if you were to get the Unlocked G1 you couldn't use it for ATT because ATT Uses both GSM and CDMA unlike Tmobile uses GSM only???? Am I wrong?

Well, I'm pretty sure ATT is GSM only too. But their 3G bands are slightly different than TMO. Therefore using an unlocked G1 on ATT would be limited to EDGE only speeds.

No, ATT uses GSM only. You might be confusing CDMA with WCDMA. They look very close, but are entirely different technologies. WCDMA is actually GSM based...

Yeah bashing Tmobiles network is so cool and trendy. While your at it why don't you bash Windows Vista as well thats cool and trendy also. Seriously get over it Tmobiles network is just as good as the other carriers. Like all carriers they have their good spots and their bad spots.
