Question About T-mobile.

Hi.

I had an account with t-mobile about 3ish years ago. When I first turned 18. Kinda screwed it up, and I owe them $450.

I was gonna go back to them and get the Flex Month To Month, but I want the contract, and the customer discount on the phones in the futurer.

So my question is.....If i PAY t-mobile what I owe them, and they re-run my credit, I think I will qualify for the flex contracted? Is that right...or no? And then after a year, I wont be flex anymore?

Actually, I had the same situation. Pay what you owe, you'll probably have to speak to their collections department anyway. While talking with them, ask if this would clear your credit with them because you want to switch back. I did the same thing, I owed, I payed, I switched back with no deposit. This time I'M STAYING!!

Definitely pay what you owe, because cell companies don't report to credit bureaus for good payment history, but they will certainly report for bad.

After paying, you may qualify for a postpaid or Flexpay annual contract. Ask the representative if they can tell you ahead of time. They may not be able to, but it won't hurt to ask.
As far as Flexpay goes, I don't think that it has the same policy as SmartAccess had, where you could switch to a regular postpaid in a year if you had good payment history. You will want to ask about that as well.

Flexpay isn't all that bad, you just have to make sure your plan has enough minutes/texts for you. If you do a lot of downloads, it can be a little bit of a hassle, but you get used to it.
