Why do you have T-mobile?

i think T-mobile is a good company.

They started out with a tiny chunk of sprectrum and grew their business.

They found a niche in text messaging and messaging phones.

They have taken steps for compete with the "big 3" (buying lots of spectrum and also buying more spectrum in the form of Suncom)

your thoughts...

I didn't like the elitist attitude of the other 3 main cell companies. They were very much "you need us more than we need you", and that was 2 1/2 years ago, it's just gotten worse since then!
Price and customer service were the other two main reasons.

BTW, coverage in my area back then was pretty lacking, but it has gotten a TON better since then.

I know, sprint is the worst with that mentality, followed closely by the others.

I think this is one of the reasons customer are so "loyal" nowadays.

u c,
i work fro a vendor site in monterrey mexico for sprint, i perfer t-mobile over many other componais not only the give some of teh BEST cust svc, but i would also perfer it ove any CDMA provider CDMA is not only expensive the phone are the worst in the marke on a value per price scale and its highly unshure i mean GSM was created over high level secure svc and a CDMA are clonable by the dosen the technology is verry unflexible and nithing freindly w/the user 🤤

Well originally I wanted Verizon. I turned 18 4 years ago and wanted to get my own cell phone service. When I went to Verizon they asked for a FAT deposit, plus the phone I wanted cost almost $200. I was like "No, I don't have the money for that!". Then I checked out Sprint and Cingular and thought that their plans were too expensive and the minutes weren't enough. The last place I checked out was T-Mobile. When they ran my credit I qualified as a "Smart Access" customer with a $75 application fee plus a FREE PHONE!

So, since then I've been hooked. It was in-expensive to sign up plus the customer service was great. Every time I called they never made me feel stupid and at the time T-Mobile phones were AWSOME! I loved the Motorola V300!! ...

They will unlock your phone after 90 days into the contract. AT&T will not do that. Talking about the attitude. I own AT&T stocks, but I like T-Mo as my cell phone carrier because they do give customers more respect.

Customer service is great!

Actually make an effort to improve.

Don't replace factory phone software with their own (like Verizon does)

Used to have Catherine. 🤤

Provide customer with the basic needs and nothing in excess so they can charge you extra.

Sales person in the store doesn't coerce you into signing a 2 year contract.

AND they will unlock your phone with no questions asked.

Thats all I can think of right now.

I just ported from verizon today. The main reason why I have Tmo is cost! Vzw nickeled and dimed me to death. The BB data plan is sooooo much cheaper, Tmo corporate store price match other offers with no questions asked. I was able to get the curve for 99.99 and my girl a red pearl for free! It was painless and quick. Lastly, the fav 5 saves me tones of overages that I would accumalate with verizon all the time. Thanks tmobile for not overlooking those of us who don't have deep pockets.

Welcome to the club!

I ported form Verizon last year. Mainly because of the charges. It just seems Verizon manages to charge for everything and you don't see anything given back.

Customer Service is really, really good. T-Mobile thanks you for being a customer since so and so when you call them up. And they actually sound like they mean it.

My plan is great, 39.99 for 1000 anytime minutes, plus unlimited nights and weekends. That plan has since gone away but reappears as a promotion from time to time. Have you ever seen a plan this good from the other Big 3?

A lot of people complain about coverage, it's actually great in my area (Central Coast Cali) and seems to have got better in the last two years. When I left Cingular, the service from T-Mobile was no better or worse than Cingular's when I switched two years ago.

AT&T, Verizon and other carriers are being sued for providing customer information to the go...

Well when I had TMO the only problem I had was with my phone. I had the Magenta Razr. It was such a crappy phone and at the time TMO didn't have any other handsets that I liked. I already had a phone with another carrier and that contract is almost up. I thought about going back to Sprint for the SERO plan but I really want a great messaging device. The SKLX in blue is really nice. I think with the SERO plan in order to be eligible for handset upgrades you have to pick a plan that is $35 or more. The next plan up is $49.99 which isn't bad because you get 1250min /unl nights and weekends starting @ 7p with unl data, text, and pix. I don't know...so hard to choose! 😕

DON'T DO IT!!!!!! You'll regret going to Sprint. With TMO, now you can get the pearl for hardly nothing if you need a txting device and the favs really do save a lot of minutes to the people you talk to the most.

You know, after weighing the pros and cons I think TMO will be the best choice for me. 🙂 The SERO plan is very appealing but you are right...The MyFavs plan will save me a lot of money. Besides most of the phones I do make are at night after 9p anyway. I usually wait for my daughter to go to sleep before I call anyone. I will give the Pearl a try. If I don't like the SureType then I will purchase the blue SKLX or the Wing. Which is better...SKLX or the Wing?

and the best thing about myFaves is you can switch them every month.

I know i have stopped talking to 4 of my original myFaves. (they are all stupid broads that are way too horny for me) (i am old, they are young, in the head)

It is really convenient.

i'd go with the sklx. the wing has a pretty slow processor for what it can do, which can be annoying. the lx is super fast and perfect for txt messaging

...and that 3inch aquos screen is breath taking.

1. T-Mobile's billing sucks beyond comparison.
2. I moved to Mesa, right outside of Phoenix; and the reception BLOWS. And yes, I did try different handsets and Sim cards.

Sprint's $15 data for PDA phones and 7pm nights and weekends can't be beat.

(Not trolling, just answering a question; so hold off on the insults.)

I just ditched my Verizon contract using celltradeusa.com, and have been looking at Sprint and T-Mobile. I'm definitely more interested in T-Mobile after reading this thread.
I want a full keyboard for texting, and a good calendar, but I'm not sure if I really need a Blackberry or WM Device.
Any suggestions?

The blackberry is all business and so is T-mobile. If you want a competitor of VOIP using T-mobile try www.marketamerica.com/age and click on Voitel. Try searching that and see what you find.

Thanks, but I'm not looking for VOIP. I'm looking for a mobile phone, and as I said before, I want a full qwerty keyboard for texting. I also want a good calendar. I'm just not sure if I need a full blown PDA for that, or not.
Blackberrys are not all business anymore. The Curve, and the Pearl, are geared more towards the non-business crowd.

I got the curve just this last week and I LOVE IT!!! I think you will too, even though you don't need it for "business". The keyboard is easy as well as the whole set up. I got mine for 99.99 w/2yr contract though!!

I got on letstalk.com, went through the process as if I was going to order one from them. Once I got to the screen that shows the discounts, I printed it out and took it into a tmobile store. They price matched the discounts. I didn't have to get any expensive plans either. I have the myfavs 600 and the ten dollar bb email plan.

go for one of the sidekicks. either the LX, the Slide, or even the ID. they all have full keyboards.

you might want to look into the new Shadow as well. it doesn't have a full keyboard, but the suretype keys are big and easy to use.

t-mobile has the best plan, and customer service. i mean just last week i was trying to get my blackbery replaced and i called to troubleshoot the phone first, but nothing worked. i ordered express shipping and the deceided that they would waive the shipping fee and i wouldn't have to pay squat just to get a new phone sent to me. i mean i was on the phone with them for hours and they really didn't have to waive the shipping fee but they did. this is coming from some one who works for sprint. sprints cust. service sucks horribly. they need to learn something from t-mobile. seriously
