Where the heck is 3g??
Didn't T-Mobile win all that specturm from the FCC bidding? I'm just frustrated because have been using my SDA since the first day it came out, and have seriously been tempted to either upgrade to the Dash or the Wing, but I just couldn't bring myself to it seeing that I know that as soon as I upgraded, 3g will be right around the corner.
Any reps who are REALLY in the know have any insight? It would be great, thanks in advance.

if you roam more than 50% of your minutes, you may get fired
What I'm really suprised is T-Mobile took so long to deploy 3G. T-Mo's 3G isn't going to blanket their network, it's going to take some time.
My honest opinion, Sprint offers more. T-Mo's great customer service is better than Sprint's, I'll give you that. I'm also impressed with HotSpot@Home
I hate the fact that their smartphones have the tendency to be so expensive, and I believe that they need to have more smartphones that are less expensive than say, AT&T. And does anyone know why they don't have any Treo's? A 750p would have been nice if they made one w/ wifi.
4G will be a fully IP-based integrated system of systems and network of networks achieved after the convergence of wired and wireless networks as well as computer, consumer electronics, communication technology, and several other convergences that will be capable of providing 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s, respectively, in outdoor and indoor environments with en...

I'd love to see it too!
I'd like to see what other phones will be out by T-Mobile. I know as far as their 3G network, it's slowly getting put up in NW Indiana. I noticed on some towers, they're overlaying their network with additional bays on their towers. I don't know if the AWS band must have their own bays, but that's how it's working out with upgrades to T-Mobile towers in NW Indiana. I don't know if I worded it right to where it's understandable.
To the one who replyed that Japan is the only country who relies soley on 3G, you guys out there are so lucky that NTT DoCoMo understands why cellular technology is so wonderful and the features that they as a company provide only prove that point even more.
I bet that we will see an awful lot of Samsung support, as well as HTC support in terms of phones that would be specifically good for high speed data. And that BB 8820 would be a sweet phone for the @Home network, seeing that it has wifi and all, but unfortunatley, I bet that AT&T has already swept that one up 😢
Now if I could only get My SDA working with HotSpot@Home...
TI bluetooth chip sucks
this is not single case
Dell X51v, MDA, HP HX2495 use TI bt chip, and the connection is flaky
Neevo, Broadcom, or CSR chip is way better!
sonyericsson and nokia phones are the best as modem
And it is specifically coming out with wifi for the @home service.
NYC is one of the earlybird markets, and I'll get T639 about 2 weeks after it come out
this phone is NOT my primary phone, will use for detecting 3G, whenever I catch it, will post (I can tell it easily, when the bitrate on slingplayer displays any value more than 220kbps, I get 3G
if you want 3G pda phone (with AWS support), I think you have to wait till next year (3.6Mbps HSDPA is sweet enough?)

it depends on your market

I know with Gary Indiana being part of the Chicago market, T-Mobile has a total of 30mhz to work with in the AWS band. They have a 10mhz D or E block, plus a 20mhz A or B block, due to being outbidded on the Great Lakes Region F Block to Verizon Wireless. But for where...
