T-MOBILE PTT .. EVIDENCE??
This is a great phone and a big step for tech-laging nextel. I would recommend this phone to peole who are nextel loyalees. However, T-Mobile if offering a PTT service soon, and that wil lbbe the best, simce T-Mo is adding new towers and improving their service. They also have the best plans, by far. One thing that could be changed on this phone is the "spot light"... it could be changed into an actual light for better photos, and videos should be longer. It will be interesting to see the phat farm i860, since it has an IR port, SD slot, and TV TUNER!!! I rate this regular i860 pretty go...

First, PTT with nexhell is not fast, duplex or secure.

T-Mobile and Nextel are both great companies and have quality products. PTT could only help T-Mo win additional customers that might have been unwilling to switch from Nextel.
Those who don't "get" or understand the Walkie-Talkie are those who have not used it. Fact is.. that it is a great product... as long as it is done right!
Quit bashing the product out of jealou...

Ok, ok. I will never get the PTT thing, but if it can help TMo continue its exponential growth, then ok. I don't like it, but ok.
t-mobile does.. or will in the near future. to bad they couldnt offer a ptt feature as good as iden. and i admit ptt is a little to 'obnoxious' if you know what i mean.. especially in a crowded buss or lobby way. ickk ..

with headset is a lot better, especially in the bus or subway

I don't understand what the big deal is about this walkie talkie crap. Is it really needed, from both nextel or tmobile? Just talk on the freaking phone and stop trying to be cool (this is not to the original poster; this is just talking in general). They've already invented hands free; what more do we need?
I've always felt the same about it. I wasn't sure if I was just mentally challenged or not about this PTT stuff because it just never seemed appealing to me. Okay... it's a nationwide walkie talkie, and yes, Sipowitz does it. I do want to emulate him, but not with PTT. People seem to be raving about it, but I just don't understand...
TMoFreak said:So now we get down to the brass tacks...you just don't LIKE the product. Doesn't mean it isn't viable...or that people don't need an instantaneous connection.
this PTT bs is further proof that all it takes to sell a product is a cleverly named gimick. what a total joke. for all of us that have had suffer through you nextel idoits shouting into your phone, the stupid unbearable chirp and the idiot on the other end shouting back, PLEASE DO US ALL A FAVOR AND SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!
TMoFreak said:So it didn't work in their neck of the woods and now it doesn't work anywhere? C'mon, man...that's every cell service in the United States. Nextel's PTT solution is currently the best...if you don't want to hear the "maddening" chirping, ask whoever's bugging the hell out of you to turn down their handset. Be polite, though.
I don't like the product because it does not perform as advertised. My inlaws had the misfortune to have nextel for two years and that stupid thing never worked. It is so much easier to use one touch dialing and get your so called "instant connection."
TMoFreak said:And it just happens to have excellent coverage in other states...what's your point?
My father in law travels for business to New York, Ohio, California, Texas, Arkansas, should I go on? I am not dumb enough to make a comment on one location. 😁

It is pointless to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person. Good day.
