whats up with that. i remember when is was still voicestream they got all the newest coolest phones first. the t68, 8260?. and now its the bottom of the barrell cheap flimsy phones. and when they do get a decent phone in their line up, its already been out for a year with other carriers. T-mobile in uk is completely opposite. d900 free with service? what the hell. for 3rd biggest carrier in the states im upset with this issue. had to get an unlocked d600 to suit my tastes. any info good or bad to calm my nerves would be appreciated. thanx a million y'all

actually last time i checked tmobile was the fourth largest carrier. but ya know most tmobile phones i had last. i had my samsung for two years with no issues other than me exchanging it cause i accidently wash it in the washing machine. but other than that it was a great phone.

well, from my experience T-Mo has always seemed to make their phones rather proprietary. Meaning only T-Mo would have the right accessories to work with the phone. Especially true with headsets, chargers and the like have become a lot more standard.

This could be one reason as to why.

It's called GSM UNLOCKED AND UNBRANDED if you don't like what T-Mobile has to offer. Also, the RIZR is coming out 3/12 and the Nokia 5300 is coming 2/28 and T-Mobile will be launching their 3G network very soon = new handsets and new features.

well not complaining. askin a question. this is the reason for these forums is it not? not here to argue with anyone or prove a point. although i notice people take things very seiously and feel like they are being attacked if someone says somethin they dont like. come on now. can't we all just get along. my point is that it sucks havin to send my phone to uk to get serviced if it breaks down. would be nice to do a h.s. exchange u know. geeze calm down!!! im not attackin anyone here or whatever im pretty new to this thing. so ya

Part of the reason is we actually spend time and money on R&D for phones that we know will cater to everyone on the network not just the people who want the latest and greatest phones. We're catching up though. The Nokia 5300 is a Tmobile exclusive and will give the Chocolate a run for it's money. The RIZR will be an exclusive at release (march 12) and we're getting the KRZR on march 28.

One of the things I've always loved about Tmobile both as an employee and as a customer is that they'd rather release a phone a year after everyone else when most of the bugs and kinks are worked out then just throw it out on the sales floor and hope for the best. They learned their lesson from the Siemens flip a few years ago.
