Too many open accounts?

So my friend ordered one of those refurb iPhones. But his order was canceled due to many open accounts.

What's that suppose to mean?

He's been with T-Mobile and only T-Mobile for the last 7 years.

Not exactly. But I guess you have to have pristine credit to get a iPhone from ATT? 🤨

Not exactly, more like pristine credit to get anything with AT&T. I believe we have the highest standards of everyone.

Not from my experience, we have people come back with a $500 from us and a $300 from them, $150 from us and none from them, pretty consistently.

We have the opposite, although it's really rare to see a deposit over 400 anymore.

Did he go into a store/phonesales and start running another application?

I had a customer a month or so back who started a 5 line family upgrade online, got frustrated and came into my store. When I ran the app, it said I needed to call customer care to confirm how many lines the customer wanted.

Nope, just ordered one refurb iPhone online with new service. And his order was canceled saying he had to many open accounts.
And now he's wondering what 'accounts' are they talking about? He's had TMO for the last 7 years.

Call C&A and have them do an SSN search to see what pulls up. If the customer doesnt recognize it I would contact Subscription Fraud.
