Holiday Promos????

celnut

Is Cingular going to be having any Holiday promos this year? They need to have at least one plan to compete with the Tmobile My Faves. Something, anything would be good since it has been quite a while since they have had any promo plans.

so with t-mobile they have 24mil customers, add your 5 favorites and it is still lower than the 57.4mil cingular has and you have unlimited talk time to per mobile to mobile... cingular does not need and 10/5 faves like smAlltel or t(een)-mobile.

Wow - they train you guys well on what to say. Nevertheless I know for a fact that Cingy is losing quite a few customers due to the new tmob plan. Sure they don...

I haven't talked to one customer, nor has anyone i know or work with, who was leaving Cingular for T-mobile because of their new 5 fav gimmick. Alltel has been running their "circle" promo forever now, and the effect on Cingular has been hardly anything. Its not that they train us on what to say, its common sense 🙂

dromant - Customers just port out, they don't have to talk to anyone to do that. In the market I live in there have been several customers who have called in to see if Cingy will be doing any promos & mention the Tmobile My Faves promo. I myself don't work for Cingy but have several friends who do. I find it funny how defensive Cingy reps get when you mention that plan on this forum. Personally I don't think much of it myself.

BTW cust care does have a script they read people to sell against the tmob my faves plan when a customer calls in. Not everyone uses it but it is there as a tool.

cust. care, not reps.

i hate it when people believe that we have a script. it's common sense and basic study. a good sales rep knows what's out there, what is offered, now it's beneficial, and how to counter it. same way as tmob my fav, there's a script on how it's better than mobile to mobile.

i say "my circle" and "my fav" are pretty stupid ideas. alot of people pick a service provided from the following reasons:

1) friends and family with same carrier
2) phone style (stupidest reason in my opinion)
3) prices
4) coverage

it would only work if you talk these 5 people so much that you go over your minutes (providing that they don't have nights and weekends, mobile to mobile, a cell phone, a life) then i don't see any benefit i...

also, the other person doesn't recieve the benifit of the faves... if someone on t-mo calls an sprint customer the other person doesn't get the calls for free. so, it's a useless gimmick... that's all.

I would like to see them offer 500 Rollover min with new activation during Holiday season like it was offered in the past. Thought that was neat.

500? I would like to see them do the 1000 rollover for 39.99. That was about 2.5 years ago.. I put my mom on that plan and I regret not changing my plan as well.

What i meant was they gave 500 Bonus Rollover minutes with their first month of billing, not including their daytime minutes. So cust activates on 39.99 450 min plan, they will have 500 rollover plus their 450 daytime min

Cingular Hitman

Dude are you serious? Cingular is losing customers?!?!?!

3Q results just came out. Cingular is *once again* below 2% in churn. How about T-Mobile? (no.) Cingular added 1.4 mil customers. Other then Verizon no one else will add more then 1 mil.

Cingular and Verizon have no business even sniffing T(een) Mobile's glue. They make so much more money hand over fist, add so many more customers, and lose so many LESS customers then T Mobile and Sprint Nextel.

If you are a disgruntled customer so desperate for the plan, then port your number out to T(een) Mobile. Or, what are the chances you ARE a T(een) Mobile customer who likes your plan but hates their coverage?

59 million people can't be wrong. Period.

Cingular Hitman - get off your high horse; You obviously don't understand what I was talking about or you would not have gotten so carried away. Chill Out & quit trying to start a flame-war. BTW the only thing I am disgrunted about is when people like you cop an attitude on this forum.

I think we should have a promo plan called "Get off your AT&T plan, you're costing us too much money."
