Unlocked GSM vs CIngular phones
If I were to buy a unlocked phone off the net such as the 6131 that's not actually sold by CIngular can't I still use all the functions such as txt, pic, video messages to other people? I never heard of the phones being limited in function if it's not a Cingular branded phone.

Yes it will have full functionality. Just get the settings sent to your phone from Nokia's website. I use an unlocked phone myself.

The text settings are already to work once you put your SIM in the phone. The MMS and browser settings need to be programmed to the phone. Use this website
