V3 freeze problem

Hey I'm having a problem with my v3 and wanted to see if anybody else had experienced the same problem. When you go to create a new text message the phone locks up and you have to remove the battery to get it to do anything. Thru trial and error I have realized that it has to do with the setting "itap english" if you change the setting to "english" it works fine. I've had the phone less than a year but I bought it off ebay so I don't think the XMB program will cover it. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

I have the V3 and get the same kind of freezing up problem. Though i've kinda gotten used to taking the battery and sim card out when it happens, but it's not that often, maybe once every three or four days, and as often as i'm on media net, it's not too bad.

Sorry, I don't have any advice to fix it.

step 1:
Find a hard surface like a table or something.

Step 2:
Find a hard object prefferably with a handle.

Step 3:
Set your freezing razr on the hard surface and hit it with the object from step 2 until it falls to peices on step 1.

Step 4:
Hit yourself in the face with the object from step 2 for buying a fashion phone instead of a phone that works.

XBM should cover the razr just don't tell them you bought it on ebay.

That's may have to try that 🙂 though honestly I didn't buy the phone as the fashion phone it was a bday present. As much as I hate to admit it though it has been a pretty decent phone up until this point.

You could also try a factory reset. It usually doesn't help, but sometimes it does.

my black one did the same thing trying to send a 2 page text. i master reset it and now it just power cycles itself every 5 mins. 🤣 and guess what! it was 2 days out of warranty when it happened! moto is the worst! i switch the SIM to my w600, no problems.

seriously if you sit in my store for a day 90% of the complaints we get are people with razr's and guess what phone they buy to replace them? Another RAZR!!!?? people are so dumb.

Just call XBM, Currently there is a "DIRECT" Exchange on all V3 razors, no matter if it has physical or liquid damage. If you notice when you call they won't make you troubleshoot the razor or ask for the LDI/Leads, that's because apperently the company that does the XBM, etelecare, has been flooded with calls that they aren't able to get out fast enough cause most of them are V3 razors, since Cingular realized that this was getting to be a problem, they decided to go ahead and xchnge the phone as soon as you call in, so as long as you don't tell em it was off ebay, you'll be fine.

Thats not entirely true, it depends on what call center you call into. And if you say you have damaged it we will NOT exchange your phn. Thats going to be over soon too. RAZR's suck!
