I have (I guess had now) a SonyEricsson S710a that I love. However, I accidentally took it for a dip in the hot tub over the weekend, and after it made some exciting sizzling/crackling noises it totally died. It won't turn on or anything. 😢

Fortunately, I had an old SE T637 sitting around that I could put my SIM card in for the meantime. I also have the LockLine insurance as well. Now, I know they discontinued the S710 a while ago, and now the W600 looks like it is gone too.

I thought the insurance did cover water damage. When I researched it on Cingular's website I got the following:

QUESTION:
What is Wireless Phone Insurance?

ANSWER:
Wireless Phone Insurance gives you the protection you need for your wireless phone against theft, loss, accidental physical and liquid damage and coverage for mechanical and electrical failure after the manufacturer's warranty period has expired.

Wireless Phone Insurance protects against:
- Loss or theft
- Accidental physical or liquid damage*
- Mechanical and electrical failure after the manufacturer's warranty period has expired

* Includes power surge, physical or liquid damage.

warranty will not cover liquid damage, but Yes, insurance will cover the liquid damage. also, even though they discontinued the w600, i think they might possibly still have that phone in stock with the insurance company. i know they keep a lot of phones that are discontinued for insurance purposes.
