No commitment price increases - COR - Upgrade policy
The 'no commitment' price (retail/cost/or whatever else you want to call it), will be increasing.
Important Note:
You will now notice that there is an update to the pricing structure on the Handset Pricing Sheet and No Commitment Prices in the Price Card Decks. Effective July 23rd, Cingular has nationally instituted an updated process to the discounts that a customer receives when signing a new contract. Instead of a customer receiving essentially a $50 discount off the equipment price for each year of the contract agreement (i.e. a 2-yr contract equated to a $100 discount off the no commitment price) the customer will now receive a $75 discount off the equipment for each year of the contract agreement (i.e. a 2-yr contract equates ...

So for us agents, I'm assuming they will be increasing the price of what we pay for our phones?

Actually there are significant price drops on many of the key phones in August.

So who is right here? One says the price is dropping, the other says they are raising?

Pricing for indirect dealers is going down on some handsets in august. our policies on pricing differs from those of corporate locations.
