Minutes

This is probably a dumb question, but i am going to ask it anyways.

I have cingular, have had them for more than a year. If i call them and tell them i am going to be porting my number to tmobile for more minutes at the same price or very close, do you think they would offer me more minutes somehow to match the deal to keep me as a customer or do they not have that authority?

I would phrase it as your giving them an opportunity to keep your business - lay out what you're being offered from Tmobile, & I would suggest to look @ everything, not simply a pile of minutes...

the only advantage cingular has is coveage. Tmobile gives me more minutes and better text messaging prices. And for someone who never leaves my local area, coverage isnt a big deal. I love Cingular, but im not paying 20.00 more a month because they choose not to have a 49.99 plan or more minutes on the 39.99 plan.

I would love to stay with them. I was just wondering what they would do to keep my business. I dont want to be a rude customer when i call and demand something.

Add 7-7. Thatl get you some extra minutes. That what all my customers do who want a 49.99 plan.

how about if i call to cancel though, do you think they might offer me more minutes to keep me? I remember my aunt was having problems with her minutes..they gave her some employee plan or something to keep her.

Hmmm how long ago was that?... Usually in that kind of situation they might offer an equipment upgrade or something.... not usually more minutes. These days it's pretty cut and dry. Oh and 7-7 is 7bucks a month. I dunno because Im not a CS rep, just a sales rep. You could always try and see what they offer you

yeah...tmobile has some nice plans with a ton more minutes. And if Cingular had a 49.99 plan i would jump right on it. The 7.00 price might help me a little..ill have to print out my statement and highlight the minutes between 7 and 9
