NO actually when i went to get a new phone after mine got a virius, they transferred info to the new phone, and transferred the virius to TWO NEW PHONES. after the third they made me pay FULL PRICE. then i added a text messaging bundle and they "forgot" to put it on the plan. so i got charge $70 for texts and i waited for a week to hear back from customer service. so dont tell me if i do or dont hate verizon. cuz i do. 👿

virus. not virius or virious ar any of the other various ways it's been spelled. virus. and i have trouble with finding credibility with this statement, being as cell phone viruses just don't happen much (if at all) and i doubt it would happen in a phonebook transfer.

Indeed. Phone book transfers only transfer the phone book. They machine used doesn't have access to anything else. It would see a virus as data and not transfer it.

Well, when you get a virus on your computer "everything" gets ****ed up. I imagine same thing applies to phones. Probably the virus hid in the address book entries, hence his problem. Don't think that just because viruses don't happen that often here (USA) they are out there. They are a major threat in Asia and Europe.

but do you think that happened anxio? especially with a verizon phone? no bluetooth, no downloads except GIN, no java web. the only way i can think is in a picture/mms message that was transferred to the phone. but i can't see it through a cellebrite transfer.

thank you! i try not to corporate whore too much, but i'm fairly certain that didn't happen on a verizon phone (do to the lack of funcionality).

I guesss I would have to give him the benefit of the doubt. I don't know what he's trying to proof.

Actually, that's possible with an open bluetooth connection. I remember something like that happening to a bunch of people right when bluetooth got going. That part of bluetooth was probably locked down by Verizon though...

exactly, verizon's bluetooth restrictions are too tight for that to happen unless he had the nokia 6256.

Am i missing something here? If they transfered the virus over from your previous phone, who wouldn't notice it right away? You went thru 2 NEW PHONES and still had virus? Okay i'm blaming this on user error. Stop going to pron sites and adult texting chat lines.

If your phone has a virus and you go to swap it out, don't get your phonebook transferred. It's as simple as that. Stop being lazy and input the phone numbers yourself!

Stop this I hate Verizon BS because you are a lazy MF.
