Warranty and Battery Q

GinoA

Hi, I bought a Nokia 6682 in January and its a good phone but the battery does not last 1 day with minimal use like 5 minute talk time.. maybe a few text messages and thats about it. Nothing extreme. I will charge it at night and the following night it will be dead. The phone has suffered no damage at all. Never been dropped so I'm assuming that theres a defect in the battery. Would Warrany Exchange replace my battery or is it only for phones?

Batteries have a seperate warranty. And XBM typically does not offer new batteries. You dhould go toi cingular company owned store with proof of purchase. Or you can call nokia.

I've never thought it to be a good idea to charge a phone overnight. It "overcharges" it and definitely decreases its life expectancy. I only charge mine when I am awake and when its fully charged, I take it off.

newer lithium batteries don't have those problems. only the older nickel cadium's do. like the ones used in old phones and RC's.

yeah I don't like to charge my phone every night because it decreases the life expectancy, but in this case i have no other choice because it will not last, it will be dead. So, If I take my reciet and the box for the phone to a corporate cingular store, they can give me a new battery for free?
