Really, this is entirely a question of personal preference.
Mine just so happens to be candybars.
Primarily because I prefer a Nokia over any other manufacturar, and they make the vast majority of candy bar phones.
I own the Nokia 6682, and I've owned it since the day it came out. I have no desire whatsoever in getting a different phone.
I owned the Razr for awhile, but it didn't offer all of the features I wanted.
Really it all comes down to you figuring out what features you want the most, and lining up the phones with those features and picking and choosing.
No one on here can tell you for a fact which one is better, and why, because it is a matter of personal preference.

I prefer candybars for no other reason than longevity. Let's face it, the main thing I want a phone for is to communicate. I don't need it to look cool (what is this, 1985?), I need it to talk to people. And, like mistercrinkles, I prefer Nokia ...and it really is just a matter of preference.
FWIW, though, I'm looking at the SE Z520 for my next phone. Variety is the spice of life... Besides, I can always go back to good ol' Nokia when I want. 🙂
