HELP ME PLEASE!!! **BIG DILEMMA**
Hi I just have a question. I got my Nokia 6102 flip phone from cingular like 2-3 months ago, but I’ve been experiencing this problem…Like once about every 20-30 calls that I make the phone gets EXTREMELY staticy and I am forced to hang up. (ITS EXTREMELY LOUD and I cant even hear the dialtone) After I hang up and redial the problem is fixed.
ok now here is my question... Do you think that Cingular will let me pick out a new phone like the sony w600i walkman phone if I pay for the upgrade OR will they just replace it for a new Nokia 6102?
I hate this Nokia now because it has a VGA camera and I can only take like 50 photos compared to that sony I can take like 300 1.3 megapixel pictures.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks guys!...

You can only exchange it for a different model within 30 days, but you can have it replaced through warranty. Call 1-800-801-1101, give them your phone number, and after they read their script of questions they'll mail you the new phone. IF your model isn't available you can get one with similiar features. Another "if" is that if your phone craps out three times you can get a different model through our Warranty department.

if you have had the phone for 2-3 months ifyou do XBM they will send you the same phone (6102) The only way you will be able get the w600i is to buy at retail price, or if you had something similar to w600i with same features they would exchange....however you cant exchange the 6102 fro the w600i.

No thye would not let you upgrade with a discount, they way yo feelislike someone who bought the RAZR for $199.99 and then 2 months later itdroppeddownto $99.99,its timing, and you got what you wanted at that time, if younow want the falavour of the month you either pay retail or wait.
if you got discount, then anytime a customer wants the new hot phone,then cingular loses money on the next discount before they make anything back from the first discount. If they did it, theywould end up in the same boat att wireless did.

I would doublecheck your account online. WHen i first purchases my Cingular phone I got the free e317 which i did not like but I wasnt about to buy another phone.
So I happened to just click on the Upgrade Phone link and it let me do another upgrade withing a week after i got the first phone. So I upgraded to another free phone (P207) I am a lot more satisfied with this phone.
So check your account info online, you MAY be eligable for a free upgrade.
I thought this might be a fluke but my parents were able to do the same thing online too and they have only had their recent upgrades for a few months.
So check that account online!!

The reason you were able to steve is you were within your buyers remorse period, which wasthirty days from when you purchased the phone.
After that you are are eligble for another discount, unless you returned the phone within the first 30 days then did not get another, otherwise you are locked out of discount until the majority of your contract has been met again
