Now here is the million dollar question: Do I deal with XBM, who noted the account authorizing the exchange, or should I just call customer care? I only ask this because I don't think XBM is going to have the phones in full kits yet.

The 6682 is not showing on the website for my market as of now. 😢

Call XBM first and see what they have. They would get full kits before refurb only phones.

You would have to call lockline and see if they have any extra 6620 handsets left. If they do that is what you get. If not then yes the 6682 would replace yours (in the Central region, phone has not be re-released nationwide).

I am an original ATT user, don't want to give up my plan, and am frustrated that the newer phones from Cingular are designed to frustrate the ATT users with 32 bit SIM. I have been thru 2 6682s, only to send both back because of lock-ups. Is the new release this thread is addressing at all related to my issue? i.e. will the old ATT SIM work any better with this new version of the 6682?
