When you post something like what your subject line says about one carrier in a forum for another carrier, you sound like either you are there to bash, or there to advertise. Also, if you have questions about a particular service, it is good to ask that question in that respective service's forum, not in another service's forum.

Think about it. Why would you ask a microsoft person a question about mac osx?

Are you a little dense? Did you see the last sentence in his original post? Evidently you were too ready to pounce on him for your perception that somehow he was in error in posting this in the cingular forum. You need to read for comprehension!

He came in to the Cingular forum, with a subject that clearly is pro-t-mobile. The question has to do with t-mobile, not Cingular.

Maybe I should go in to the Verizon forum with a post of "Cingular is really sweet" and then ask a question about Cingular phones, but then at the very end throw in something about an E815. That would make it legit, right?

Hey, if you feel that making a big stink about it makes you look good go for it!

😳 Please forgive the rude comments, answers, and opinions espressed in this forum, they are usually reserved for 866-CINGULAR 😉

So, a question about cingular belongs on the T-Mobile forum now?

No they still technically only have one band. That is the 1900 band. The 850 coverage is going to be off of other GSM carriers, not limitied to Cingular. No US carrier uses the 900 or 1800 bands, seeing as the government does not sell licenses in those bands. The 900 and 1800 bands on a phone are for international purposes only.

T-Mobile's native coverage is 1900 only. They have some roaming agreements with 850 operators. Only two bands 850 and 1900 are used in North America (except Cuba which uses 900.) There is little T-Mobile roaming on cingular's network except for the Carolinas (?)

It does roam on Unicel, but all coastal areas are on Cingular. Unicel doesn't have licenses in those counties. It will not roam on Cingular any other places. Though I was able to force my 7105 to roam on Cingular in Portland Area
