Cingular's managment comments on December 9th

Cingular management made comments on
their network expansion and 3G data plans.

ADDING CELL SITES AT BETTER THAN EXPECTED RATE. Tuesday, December 6th,
Cingular announced intentions to add 4,000 – 5,000 cell sites to their network in 2006. This is above the company’s previous forecast of 3,000 – 4,000 sites.

Additionally, Cingular issued capex
guidance. the company expects to spend $7.0B
- $7.5B in 2006,

UMTS LAUNCH PLANS OUTLINED. On Tuesday, December 6th, Cingular also announced
that they would launch their 3G data service – UMTS – in 16 major markets and that they intend to
have launched the service across the majority of the nation’s top 100 markets by the end of 2006.

i believe they can achieve that goal. now if the customer service got a tad better they would be good to go.

i dont think it is all about customer service.. i think they have to what their goal is mainly to increase their coverage as well as to improve their brand name/image.

And improving CC wouldn't help them improve thier brandname. Whatever you're on I'll take 2. 🤣

the most important is coverage. once they improve on coverage their brand image will start to go up becuase of popularity on the coverage side alone. the customer care will also improve their brand image becuase it will bring another positive influence..
