i'm looking at the new LG F9200 and it looks like a good phone. I currently have the Sony Ericsson Z500a. Now the Sony has EDGE, which i don't care cuz i don't use the internet. But what i'm looking for in a phone is IMing and Text messaging. And the LG has GPRS class 10 is that fast? so can i IM fast? well ive used my friends sidekick and it wuz fast. And sickkicks use GPRS. Another question is the phone part. I'm also going to make calls. Now i noticed that the LG didn't have the 1800 band. Is that important in the US? becuz the LG only supports 850 and 1900. I get GREAT coverage with my Sony, it's just i want a phone with a QWERTY keyboard. Thanks

the 1800mhz is internatinally. gprs 10 is not slow but not fast. but neither is edge so that no big difference unless you plan on using it a modem for a laptop or pc. the call quality on the f9100 was good from what i hear. the biggest complaint was only being abel to use the keyboard for sms (text) only.

if you need qwerty and full keyboard capability and don't mind getting a discontinued GOOD phone. search on ebay for the nokia 3300 music phone.

everyones BIGGEST complaint was the fact that the keyboard didn't light up, but if you have the nerve to want or get qwerty you need to be able to type with out looking at the keyboard 🙄

also it only about $60.00 tops after shipping.

why dont you look at the samsung d307 if you are looking for a qwerty keyboard. only thing that phone doesnt have is a camera but with all the texting you will probably be doing who has time to take a picture?
